Voces Luce
MISSION STATEMENT
This choir is one of two auditioned choirs available for students at QMC. It is for young women in years 9-13 at QMC. The main objective is three-fold:
DESCRIPTION
This ensemble consists of up to 50 singers, auditioned from students in years 9-13. Voces Luce, formerly known as "Chorale", has a high profile within the school, community, and performs at many major functions. It also takes part in the The Big Sing, New Zealand's secondary choral competition (regionals and nationals), as well as singing for events in the community.
We work with language specialists, choreographers, maintain a repertoire of QMC music, Pasifika songs, and delve into various genres including traditional choral, world music, and Broadway. Voces Luce has experienced heaps of growth in the past several years and we are enjoying making music at a high level of performance.
